The Golden Sans Project Presents 'Ampersans' went down last night at The Cambus Wallace on the Gold Coast and formed the after party to the hugely successful Typism Conference.
Artists / Designers & Art Directors were asked to respond to the brief 'Ampersand' and was the first curated show by TGSP and the results were truly amazing and a credit to the Gold Coast creative community.
A HUGE shout out to The Cambus Wallace for hosting the show, a 'must visit' venue on the Gold Coast, and also Dave Lydiard, Josh Thorsen, Dougal Jackson, Chris Humphies (for drilling holes in the ship) and Jaimée Keyer for shooting all the Artwork.
*If you are interested in any of the works below, you can either visit the links and contact the artist directly or email email@example.com and I can point you in the right direction.
TONIGHT — The Ampersans Art Show, presented by The Golden Sans Project is a small Group Art Show that forms the after party to the Typism Inspiration Conference. After the Conference, come on down to The Cambus Wallace for a tipple, chat and see some Ampersands. It's that easy.
The Golden Sans Project was recently invited to the Bacon Factory to enjoy a day of letterpress. The workshop involved a brief introductory into the history of type, and a hands on workshop experimenting with the process of printing wood type with their extensive and ever evolving collection.
We then divided into small groups and below are some shots of the piece we developed.
